The Use of Crushed Cable Waste as a Substitute of Natural Aggregate in Cement Screed

This research is focused on the utilization of cable waste originating during recycling wires as a partial substitution natural aggregate in cement screed. The main goal work performed was to find an optimal level terms freezing–thawing resistance, which significant aspect for such type concrete mixtures. studied artificial gradually dosed screed by 5% volume up 30% substitution. influence also evaluated compressive strength, flexural bulk density determination, and ultrasonic pulse method. Gradual led reduction mechanical properties due considerable air-entraining effect. reduced value modulus elasticity modified deformation behavior mixtures, exhibited softening test. Studied mixtures incorporating material slightly lower values coefficient freeze-thaw resistance comparison with control mixture, however, attained comply technical requirements.
